Cool, just finished the first There's More To Music of the term. It went pretty well, didn't make any really bad mistakes, got a couple emails.. Maybe I should have chatted less, then I wouldn't have had to play the last three tracks pretty much all one after the other, but nevermind.
There's More To Music 23/04/2008 show recording
The show is completely unedited, so apologies again for the swearing in the 'Abuse You' track, although that's only really important live. Now you know anyway; don't worry it's not too obvious.
I'm not too happy about having to interrupt the tracks once or twice, but overall it's a good effort for my first show in a while.
Here's the tracklist (artist - title):
Coldplay - Green Eyes
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Acrnym - Repeat
Arrested Development - Mr. Wendal
Arnold Schoenberg - Suite for Piano, op. 25 [track 5 on CD, ie. the end of the suite]
Christian Sinding - Frühlingsrauschen ("Rustles of Spring")
Quantic - Time is the Enemy
Ten Years After - I'd Love to Change the World (Check this out live!)
Sixty Six Ex - Abuse You
The Specials - Ghost Town
Jens Lekman - The Opposite of Hallelujah (cut a couple seconds short)
We Are Scientists - Hoppípolla [originally by Sigur Rós]
Pretty good selection non? Enjoy!

[Older Show #1] There's More To Music 22/11/2007
This was the very first show!! My voice sounds dry, and some of the changeovers are fairly poor, and the choice of tracks clashes aswell. Please don't judge the show on this very first go! But I give you a link to it here for old time's sake.
There's More To Music 22/11/2007 show recording
The recording is completely unedited, and I completely mess up ('technical problem' haha) during one of the tracks, so leave a comment if you'd like me to edit the recording so that the sad little piano track isn't rudely interrupted.
Here's the tracklist (artist - title):
Daft Punk - Face to Face
Manau - La Poupée
Fats Waller - Honeysuckle Rose
Secede - Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic
Aphex Twin - Kesson Dalef
Alif Tree - My Soul
MONO - L'America
Antonio Vivaldi - The Four Seasons: Concerto In F Minor, 'Winter', RV 297: I: Allegro non molto [performed by Itzhak Perlman]
Ilkae - Elve
Dire Straits - Twisting by the Pool
Finley Quaye - Dice (feat. William Orbit & Beth Orton) (forgot to mention this at the time.)
Interestingly the news team also messed up that day, so instead of the news there is a track by Muse tacked on at the end. That'll probably get removed in the (potential) edit - to save bandwidth - but until then..
Enjoy it!

Euh.. Hi!
Hello everyone, welcome to the official site for my radio show "There's More To Music".
The title says it all really, the music most people listen to just isn't diverse enough, and so we're going to change that, together.
This blog is many so that people can comment, preview the next show, and it's an easy place to post the show every week, so that you can listen again whenever you want. Awesome isn't it!
As a bonus I will post all the recordings from previous times over the course of the next couple weeks, so you can hear how poor my radio skills were at first. Although I might edit out some of the really bad mistakes, solely for the purpose of your musical enjoyment of course.
At the moment the show is every Wednesday at 15:00 british summer time, or 14:00 GMT. Listen live if you want (please do!) at www.cur1350.co.uk
I'll probably edit this welcome post as I remember important details not yet mentioned.
